Long and LowThe stories of a long and low dog! |
Remember Little Missy?Thursday, May 24, 2007Rest in Peace, Sam.Tuesday, May 22, 2007Samantha was a great dog. She was sweet and adorable in her old age, and Mommy just loved her. I did too, though she didn't like me much. Sam died last Tuesday, in her fave place, under Grandma Mary's bed. She was very old, 16 years, and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in January. She had a stroke, and died later that evening. I will miss Sam. My mommy will too, but we know that Daddy, and Grandma Mary will miss her the most. Daddy was very attached to her, she was his "travel dog". She loved to go on rides with Daddy back before Daddy met Mommy. I'm just babbling now. So, here's to you Sam. We love ya, and we are glad you are finally able to run pain-free. Another day... another person fell in love with me...Thursday, May 10, 2007Yup, you got that right. Another person fell in love with me today. Can ya blame them? I am one sexy decoration! I'm just too cute not to cuddle... too cute not to kiss... well, my mommy says so anyways! Now that my head is all big... I'm off to eat my three course meal (my mommy spoils me too!) Just a decoration?Sunday, May 6, 2007So just because I'm not a working dog, I'm a decoration?? Sorry, that has GOT to be the biggest piece of bull I've ever heard. I do work!!
Alls I gotta say is KMA to those that think that their dogs are better than ME because they work. OK... rant over :) Long time no blog, eh?Tuesday, May 1, 2007April was a busy month for mommy. She had a TON of things to do... including taking a trip cross-state to get Paw-paw Jim, a baby shower to prepare, and a ton of other things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This blog I am going to dedicate to... TOYS!! I'm going to give a small review of some of the toys I have had in the past few months, so maybe those dog owners that have no clue what kind of dog toy to get their pup, can get an idea of some toys to try. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Top 3 Doggie Toys: Air Kong Squeaker Football I am quite hard on the toys I get. I have yet to have a toy for longer than 2 months, even a kong football! These things are great for the fetching pup though, not only do they get out their fetching fetish, but they get to make a ton of noise while doing it! This toy also floats, so it is great for that retriever that will wade into water to get his toy! Durable, long lasting, and a great toy all around. Defiantly a "buy again" toy, as my mommy says. Tuff Balls Tuff Balls are another great fetching toy. These balls really are industrial strength, I have yet to break one! My mommy's pal Jess sent me some for Christmas '06, and I still have both of them around the house somewheres! Best thing of all... they can come in different flavors! The one pictured in the link is peanut butter flavored, but they have various different flavors (I can't seem to find a list of them). Keeps your pup's funk breath under control! They are made with special felt, so they are very easy on the mouth, less abrasive too! Definately a A++ toy in my book! Chuckit Ball Launcher This toy is a MUST for those pups that love to play fetch, like me. This ball throwing toy makes it easy on mommy's arm, while throwing the ball twice as far, thus exercising me a bit normal than usual. It's also designed for hands-free pickup, so no more touching slobbery balls! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A few honorable mentions as well... Kong Tennis Fetch Stick Kong Squeaker Dumbbell Lastly, a few pics of me playing with my new Tennis Toughie dumbbell, and my very old, tore to bits Air Kong bone. ![]() |
