Mom's kinda sad today.
Today would have been Coby's 4th birthday.
Mommy was telling me how she met Coby. My mommy's uncle Kevin was having back problems, and couldn't feed Coby's mom and Dad. So he hired mommy to take care of them, and her payment would be a pup from the litter.
When he was born, he was in a HUGE litter of 12!
Sadly though, 6 of the pups were stillborn right off the bat. So mommy buried those, 3 little boys and 3 little girls.
Mommy fed Coby's mom and dad, and she left to come back the next evening.
When she came back... 5 pups had disappeared! They were nowhere to be found. Mom searched the home top and bottom and couldn't find even one. She says she still doesn't know what happened to them this very day.
So Coby was the only pup left. Mom says he was the cutest little ball of fluff. Watching him grow over the next few weeks, she grew attached.
But, at 4 weeks old, Mommy had to come and get Coby from his mom. She refused to let him nurse and was caught trying to play "Toss the Pup out of the Pen". So mommy had to take him and started to bottle feed him and give him soft, warm meals of milk and ground turkey.
Mom says she was attached to Coby. Much like me, he was able to sleep with her, and she loved him alot like she loves me.
Mommy says she wishes Coby, who would have been a great dog had he been treated right, could have stayed with her forever.
